Whether you drive a Nissan Altima®, a Nissan Kicks®, a Nissan Frontier®, or any of the other amazing vehicles put out by Nissan, your vehicle relies on the braking system to keep you safe. The brakes will need to be serviced regularly, and Swope Nissan is proud to offer brake services to drivers in Radcliff, Kentucky, and the surrounding areas. Learn more about our vital brake services here!
The brake fluid plays a key role in your braking system; it transfers force from your foot on the pedal to the brake calipers, but it also amplifies this force along the way. As a hygroscopic fluid, brake fluid will attract moisture to itself. The more outside moisture gets mixed in with the brake fluid, the less effective it will be. For this reason, it’s essential that you have your brake fluid exchanged at the manufacturer-recommended intervals.
When you bring your Nissan Kicks® or Nissan Titan® to Swope Nissan for a brake inspection, our technicians will closely look at all your brake system’s components. These include the brake calipers, the brake lines, the master cylinder, and more. They will focus especially closely on the brake pads and brake calipers, measuring both and assessing their condition.
When the soft brake lining on your brake pads becomes too thin, the brake pads will need to be replaced in their entirety. At Swope Nissan, we can remove the old brake pads and replace them with Genuine Nissan brake pads. Since these new brake pads have been tested and approved by Nissan, you can count on them to keep you safe and last long.
If the brake rotors in your braking system become warped or glazed, there’s a good chance we can still resurface them rather than replace them. This helps you save on the cost of new parts. Of course, if the rotors are too thin, you will need to have them replaced.
