With more power and exclusive new features, the 2020 Nissan Titan is more capable and comfortable than ever.
What’s new for the 2020 Nissan Titan?
The Titan gets a mid-cycle refresh for the 2020 model year, rolling out with some impressive additions to the lineup. First up is a new nine-speed automatic transmission. It replaces the old seven-speed version, improving fuel economy during high-speed highway cruises. The Titan’s V8 engine is more powerful than before, pumping out 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque.
Then there’s the Safety Shield 360 package of advanced driver safety aids, which now comes standard on every Titan trim model. It includes adaptive cruise control, a first for the Titan. The package also supplies standard reverse automatic braking – something you won’t find on any other pickup truck. This new Titan even supplies two extra airbags, for a total of eight. And there are now four seat-belt pre-tensioners in the cabin, up from two.
The 2020 Titan is still highly configurable, though this new lineup does away with the single cab option. Instead, shoppers can choose between the popular King Cab and crew cab. This year’s crew cabin offers an extra taste of luxury with an optional dual-panel panoramic moonroof. Drivers can also choose from five Titan trim models – the S, SV, Pro-4X, SL, and Platinum Reserve. They range from work-friendly to leather-clad and chrome-trimmed.
Why buy the 2020 Nissan Titan?
This year, the Titan gets new style, inside and out. This truck catches eyes with its optional LED daytime running lights. Choose between three new grille choices and fine wheel options to create a pickup truck that speaks to your personal style. The 2020 Titan also offers new LED lighting for the bed and taillights.
Inside this new Titan, you’ll find larger touchscreen infotainment interfaces and standard smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 8-inch touchscreen is the biggest standard screen in this segment. And you can always upgrade to the new 9-inch touchscreen with WXGA resolution that’s set to deliver better-than-HD resolution.
Drivers will be quick to fall in love with the Titan. The powerful 5.6-liter V8 engine is quick to supply the power you crave, quickly getting you up to speed. This new truck also does an excellent job of towing and hauling heavy loads, thanks in part to the smooth-shifting nine-speed automatic transmission.
How much can the 2020 Nissan Titan tow and haul?
Depending on configuration, the Titan can tow max loads of 9,660 pounds. And, if you’ve got your eye on a particular trim model or configuration, you’ll be pleased to learn that any given Titan can tow at least 9,240 pounds. This full-size truck is also quite the workhorse, with a maximum payload capacity of up to 1,680 pounds.
