Rugged and capable, the 2020 Nissan Frontier is ready to bring more adventure into your life.
Why choose the 2020 Nissan Frontier?
Want a midsize truck that combines rugged off-road capabilities with sturdy workhorse performance? The 2020 Frontier is that truck. It’s even available in off-road-ready form, with the special Pro-4X trim model. This truck comes standard with everything you could want on difficult terrain, from specially tuned shocks to a locking rear differential.
This Nissan pickup truck also puts an emphasis on cabin comfort and technology. Both the extended and crew cabins offer cushy accommodations for road-trip travel and plenty of space for hips and elbows. Every Frontier is equipped with air conditioning and a rear privacy glass. Standard infotainment features include Bluetooth connectivity and Siri Eyes Free voice commands for iPhone users.
What 2020 Nissan Frontier configurations are available?
Choose from five trims: the S, SV, Desert Runner, Pro-4X, and SL. All are available with either an extended King or four-door crew cabin. The King cabin is paired with a 5-foot cargo bed. Crew cab models can have either the 5-foot or 6.1-foot cargo bed.
As you move up the trim levels, you’ll find both increasing comfort and capabilities. The Desert Runner adds foglights and high-performance shock absorbers. The four-wheel-drive Pro-4X adds rugged performance gear, including off-road tires. The top-tier SL impresses with its sunroof and leather upholstery.
There are two engine options. The base 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine produces 152 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque for a sturdy performance. Upgrade to the 4.0-liter V6 for a more robust, truck-style performance with 261 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque. Both engines can be had with either a manual or automatic transmission. The former is a big attraction for driving enthusiasts; you don’t see many new trucks with manual transmissions these days.
How much can the 2020 Nissan Frontier tow and haul?
This midsize pickup truck is a hefty hauler. Depending on equipment, the Frontier can tow max loads of 6,710 pounds. In terms of big toys, that’s equal to a pretty big boat or a gang of Jet Skis. You can load up your Frontier with max payloads of 1,430 pounds, depending on body style and configuration. That’s a great haul, whether you’re transporting work supplies or a weekend’s worth of camping gear.
When will the 2020 Nissan Frontier be available?
The new Frontier is ready for action; it’s scheduled to hit Nissan dealerships early in 2020.
